Painting over steel siding.

Everbrite is a clear coating that will restore the original color and finish of your metal siding. Use the ladder for painting the steel siding on the top and using the roller paint in a horizontal direction. If there is any rust on the steel apply a rust converter over the siding which will turn the rust into a black substance you can easily clean off. Paint the steel siding panels using the sprayer.

Cleaning of the surface can be done by hand washing with warm soapy water or with the use of a high pressure washer 2500 psi minimum. The first sign that this is beginning to happen is a loss of the glossy look that new siding has.

Repeat the procedure until you cover all the steel siding. As long as the siding is clean you won t need to use a primer unless raw metal is exposed. Aim the sprayer nozzle directly at the panels eight inches from the siding surface. I would use the red rust oleum primer the oil based primer and i would let it thoroughly dry after you knock off all the loose paint and sand it and make sure the surface is ready to accept it.

This stuff seemed to cover every square inch of siding and made for a lousy painting surface.
